I spent way too long snickering to myself after this. With each spook I thought, that’s supposed to be an impressive jump? Then we finally reached the end. Clever of the final kid to use that pingpong ball. The echoing, continuing sound was a real throw off, and made the dad curious/annoyed enough to getContinue reading “High Jump Dad”

Noisy Cactus Mimic
You can just tell the cubs were making the oddest noises they could for the cactus-thing to play back in the way only a kid would do. I was half waiting for mom-tiger to just roar a shut-up! But no, she decided to leave. Just like a mom who decided she didn’t want to throttleContinue reading “Noisy Cactus Mimic”
Tiny Glass Cat
I just love glass sculpting. This is kinda the first time I’ve seen the process in creating the little delicate bobbles instead of medium/huge things like chandeliers, vases, and showpieces. Seeing how different the tools can be is very interesting. She just needs a blowtorch instead of an entire glory hole (which is basically aContinue reading “Tiny Glass Cat”
It’s May
Saw this, had the dumbest urge to put it in a post if it made sense and what do you know, the rhythm fell on the first of May. I don’t get what the joke is here, if there even is one, but I hope at least one of you get whatever’s going on here.Continue reading “It’s May”
Who I Was and Who I Am
Don’t I know it, it’s always trippy to read something I wrote ages ago. Especially since I also have a habit of writing some lines and notes that’re on a cliff hanger and rely on me already knowing the context. Trying to remember what I was about to get at is tricky! If anything, thisContinue reading “Who I Was and Who I Am”
Pine Cone Torch
Is that some kind of mushroom or wood? Can you do this with any tree or just that kind? As cool as this method is, I wish he mentioned stuff like that. Because it doesn’t matter how well someone can replicate this if they use the wrong stuff.
“The Lemonade Machine”
Now this is the rube goldberg machine of all machines. By nature they’re deliberately over-complicated mechanism does something so simple you could’ve done it yourself way easier and way faster. However, doing the task they do is not the point of them, the point is to build them, how they work out is the bonus.Continue reading ““The Lemonade Machine””
AI Expectations
When will they finally get the message and knock it off? The point of writing is to pour out your heart, to enjoy it, to create. Doing something ourselves will always be far more satisfying. If not, what’s the point? If AI is doing everything for me… In many media don’t we find characters whomContinue reading “AI Expectations”
Keep Making Art
(Thunks head on desk, almost laughing) I’ll confess, I just got off a hyper focus on a single project and now I’m struggling to get back to my rhythm of getting stuff done. Fortunately I’ve managed to stay on top of blog posts. Regardless, just got to keep going, keep trying. Whatever complaints I haveContinue reading “Keep Making Art”
Growing Cherries
I wish this guy mentioned time frame estimates. From what I know cherries can take a super long time before they start producing fruit. Like 3 years at the absolute minimum if you’re lucky. But I think anyone who likes cherries (and has the space for a tree) would find this a good investment.
